A good egg

...I've been scribbling away ever since. From writing TV news stories about footballers getting their hairy legs waxed in the name of male grooming to interviewing cancer patients about how it feels to lose their hair during chemo; my ability to know an audience and handle a story with sensitivity and flair has been tested.

Before going freelance as a writer, I built up valuable experience working within several small but tenacious communications/PR teams where I was often the first point of contact for difficult issues spanning the public and voluntary sectors. I've a life long love of language with a Masters degree in English Literature, but a background in PR which taught me just as much, albeit in a very different way.

Over the last few years I've built up a strong writing portfolio with the voluntary and public sectors – with a particular emphasis on health and community development.

I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and I can think on my feet without putting my foot in my mouth. But above all I'm passionate about what I do and I hope it shows.

Oh, and I'm a bit of a 'Monica'. So if you need someone who's obsessively organised, pedantic about punctuation and who will not rest until it's done right ...I'm your girl.

Of course, I would say all that wouldn't I? Have a look on my testimonials page to read what other people said.
